Jazz, hip hop, singing and music combo class... the perfect way to start developing the co-ordination skills that are the basics of dance classes. The JAZZ component of the class teaches preschoolers important developmental milestones like skipping, cross co-ordination and sequencing.
There is no denying that preschoolers these days are cool. They love to bust out HIP HOP moves. Ready Set Dance have developed their very own hip hop songs like the ‘Ice Cream Freeze’ and ‘Hip Hop Italiano’ that our dancers absolutely love learning.
The MUSIC section has a strong emphasis on counting music, understanding tempo and exploring rhythm. We love to use musical instruments and parachutes to have fun learning music as a team. Each lesson involves SINGING time on the microphone. Our little divas and rock stars just love to take their turn on their microphone it’s very rewarding to see some of our shy students gradually gain confidence and sing individually on the microphone and introduce themselves to the class.
And TAP – (performed with jazz shoes at NBD) includes songs like the ‘Gumboot Splash’, ‘Jungle Bug Squish’ and the ‘Penguin Parade’ fun exercises that teach us how to use our heels, toes and to learn how to shuffle. All these ingredients together create a super hour of fun!
A magical ballet experience for Preschoolers. Our experienced teachers lead our little ballet dancers through each step of the class as they learn the fundamentals of ballet. READY SET BALLET music has been specifically designed to capture the beauty of classical ballet in a way that engages preschoolers from the first warm up to the final bow. Our dancers love swimming with mermaids, twirling their ribbon sticks, flying with feathers and riding the tutu train to story book lane.

You have the flexibility to enroll your tiny dancer in one or multiple programs. Your child can participate in multiple classes on the same day or choose different days of the week. Classes are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings.
Trial classes: At NBD we understand how important it is to get the right fit, therefore all students are invited to trial the first class of any style before committing to the full term. There is no upfront payment or charge for students who choose not to continue after their trial lesson. Billing for enrolled students commences from the trial lesson date.To schedule a trial select ENROL at the top of the page, set up a new account and select REGISTER FOR CLASSES where you will see SCHEDULE A TRIAL or ADD TO WAITLIST linked in grey text underneath each class description. Once you have selected SCHEDULE A TRIAL, select a date and submit.
Class Viewing: For our Ready Set Dance and Ready Set Ballet classes, one adult per student is encouraged to watch the trial class. After the trial is complete we aim for drop off at the door and collection after the lesson however we understand this may take time with young students. Settling young children into our classes typically takes 1 to 3 weeks. Open viewing weeks are organised at the end of each term for all preschool classes and we regularly share photo's and videos via a private platform.
Location: NBD Ready Set Dance and Ready Set Ballet classes are all held at our spacious hall in Neutral Bay, conveniently located corner of Lindsay and Bydown sts. There is plenty of street parking and cafes & supermarkets near by.
What to wear: There is a uniform that we know your little one will love however for your first lesson come in comfy clothes and shoes.
Through regular and sustained participation in Ready Set Dance classes children develop positive dispositions to learning such as enthusiasm, independence, concentration, persistence, co-operation and the three C’s of confidence, coordination, and creativity. Ready Set Dance offers much to support the play and learning of young children in Australia and beyond.
