Jessie Rochford Barber - Jazz
Originating from New Zealand, Jessie’s dance background is as bright and vibrant as her accent!
Starting off as a competitive Irish dancer, Jessie has grown to love and appreciate the styles of ballet, hip hop and contemporary, completing a Certificate IV in Performing Arts alongside a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance in Contemporary and Classical) at Brent Street Studios in Sydney.
Her talents have taken her to some amazing places around the world and it all started in 2014 when she was chosen to represent New Zealand as a soloist dancer at The World Championships of Performing Arts in L.A. It was during this competition that Jessie won a scholarship to the prestigious Millennium Dance Complex in L.A, which saw her move to the USA in 2015 for three months of intense and incredible training.
Her travelling didn’t stop there! Jessie has also performed in resorts in the Bahamas and Mexico… Who knows where the future will take her!
Currently a member of the Sydney-based company, Bonnie Curtis Projects, Jessie spends any free time she has teaching passionate students the skills and lessons learned from her experience in the industry. She hopes to continue to inspire and help her NBD students to grow!
